We are utterly astounded by the high-quality and efficient roofing work provided by New City Roofing Co. Herbert took the time to patiently answer all our queries during the estimation process and was prompt in responding to our text messages during the delivery of shingles, throughout the work, and even after the completion and payment of the job. This is the quickest service we’ve experienced during our time living in San Francisco. The roofing team even reached out to discuss their plans – they were not just a crew, they were a unified team! The communication was consistently maintained throughout the roofing job. Each team member knew their role and performed brilliantly. Our brother, who used to be a roofer, checked in on the team a few times and was genuinely impressed – this is notable as he tends to be quite critical of work ethics these days. Our neighbor across the street also had positive comments about the roofing team, complimenting their teamwork and the quality of the job. This wasn’t a minor task; the team managed to install roughly 49-52 squares on a 7 pitch roof in a single day. Despite the 12-hour effort, they only paused for lunch, taking turns to ensure continuous work. Herbert and his team, including Ross and Brendan, provided an exceptional service and high-quality workmanship. The professionalism, workmanship, and value for the money were simply outstanding. We are deeply grateful!

We recently had our roof, rain gutters, and some storm-damaged siding replaced by New City Roofing Co. I can’t recommend them enough for anyone needing to replace an old roof and gutters, their professionalism and responsiveness are top-notch, plus they have an in-depth understanding of the roofing industry. Our main point of contact was Brendan, who assisted us through email and phone calls. He was incredibly friendly and patient, answering all our queries and keeping us updated. As for the estimate, Matthew was straightforward and candid about our options and what we should anticipate. Our San Francisco home’s location presented a few challenges due to being situated on a hill and having limited vehicle accessibility. Despite these hurdles, even our difficult driveway didn’t pose a problem for the delivery crew who managed to navigate a full-length truck, trailer, and crane up to our house. The team started work early in the morning and worked till dusk. When it became apparent that the job would take longer than initially estimated, we were notified promptly. Herbert, the owner, met with me to discuss the work and address any questions I had. The roof was finished on the afternoon of the second day, with the siding and gutters completed by around 1PM on the third day. Throughout the process, the team was prompt and professional. Our calls and emails were responded to within a day, sometimes even after hours. When I raised a concern about cleanup one evening, Herbert contacted me with a resolution within half an hour. The quality of the work is outstanding, and there were no shortcuts taken. Although I’m not a roofer or a handyman, it’s clear that our new roof and gutters look like they belong on a high-end, brand new home. The repairs to the siding were also seamlessly done. Herbert was attentive and reasonable, exuding confidence in his product and pride in his work. All in all, I’m delighted with the entire experience. Only time will tell if there are any issues, and if any arise, I’ll adjust this review accordingly.
