My furnace wasn’t working and within a few minutes someone was here to check it. We thought it was working again before he left, but the next morning it wasn’t. Right after I called again, I had the repairman back out within about an hour. He replaced a part and it’s working fine again, just in time for more cold weather. I have had nothing but great, timely, and courteous service from everyone at B&L. I’m so satisfied with them that I signed up for their comfort plan!
Choosing B&L to fix my Water Heater situation was a great choice. The Technician Rick was Amazing! Super nice guy. He made sure I understood what was going on in the process. Unfortunately one part had to be fixed the next day, and had to send another Technician out. Chase was just as great! He got everything fixed and situated and it is doing great. From the moment I called to set up for someone to come out, to the end result was a pleasant experience. I would definitely use this company for any future needs.
I called to have a legacy shower valve replaced. Gratefully, a cancellation enabled same-day service.
Our technician initially seemed very helpful. He then informed us it would be over $1,000 to simply replace a shower valve. He tracked dirt, snow and ice throughout our house as he exited and re-entered over a dozen times without ever taking his work boots off. He also agreed to quote a potential other job in the house and have it to us the next day. That quote never arrived.
We aren’t difficult folks and extend kind, fair treatment to the companies we work with. We will not be working with B&L or recommending them to anyone going forward.
1.30.25 Update:
B&L called to rectify the situation. We spoke about the issue and they promised to follow up with me. I called twice following this and was told my contact was busy. It’s been two weeks now with no response.
The water lines were losing pressure when I flushed a toilet or turned on a sink. I suspected that I had a failing pressure reduction valve. I called B&L plumbing on a Saturday as I needed water in the home. Kevin arrived promptly well within the service window given by the dispatcher. He listened to my concern and
the actions I had taken up until his arrival. After a short period to assess the issue we agreed that it was most likely the pressure reduction valve between the water main and the sprinkler system. Kevin replaced that valve and we tested find that not only had that valve failed but the valve stepping the pressure down for the interior of the home had also failed. Prior to the first valve being replaced my water pressure was falling to 4 psi, after the replacement it was only falling from 50 psi to 35 psi. The norm is 5-8 psi. Kevin quickly replaced that 2nd valve and all was back to normal. The price for the work was possibly a bit more than I expected, but it was a weekend callout. I have not done any actual plumbing work in 40+ years, I did discuss with my dad who is a retired plumber and master pipe fitter. His feeling, the price was with in the norms for a weekend call out. Will use B&L again if needed, hope the plumbing is considerate enough to fail on a week day the next time. Thanks
