Latest update: Quality Assurance Technician came out to assess, or shall I say, blame me for the condition of the lawn. He said we have a moisture issue and blamed our pool which has drainage according to code where NO water from it comes close to our grass area. Then he started asking about how much we water. No sir. It’s because you have technicians not showing up to scheduled appointments and documenting they treated the backyard when they didn’t. Please, explain why we suddenly have a moisture problem when every report we received from the technician marks our level of moisture as good. Let’s add insulting the customer’s intelligence to your one-star review.
Update: I was NOT contacted by a Bug Out representative. However, a technician came out without a 2 day notice phone call on the morning Hurricane Milton was making landfall (Oct.9). A follow up appointment was made, but nobody showed up. The next afternoon, a new appointment was made. Weeds were killed from the treatment on Oct.9th, but now it already choked the grass. This is going to need to be re-sod due to Bug Out’s negligence. I sent a message through Bug Out’s website where I was supposed to receive a response within 24 hours. It’s been over that, and I still haven’t received a response.
I’m done. I have been with this company for well over 20 years, but something changed, and not for the better. We are set up to be called 2 days prior to service which stopped, and despite my multiple requests, has not resumed. For this reason, we did not know they were coming so they were not able to get in our backyard. However, their treatment report does not indicate this whatsoever. It just states treatment was completed. We have weeds taking over our grass back there, so I requested they come out to finish their job. They were able to squeeze us in two weeks later only for the tech to say that he doesn’t have the right chemicals to treat that particular weed. He set up a new appointment two weeks later that disappeared from our account. I called to set up a new one, and that one magically disappeared too. Customer service might as well be called appointment makers because they respond to your issues in a syrupy sweet voice, but only set up new appointments for you (that get canceled). Your issues are never resolved and now it looks like I’m going to have to resod.
Chad is our technician and he is very detail oriented. He’s super friendly, explains all he’s doing and what it helps with. He gives great suggestions on fighting outside FL bugs that like to come in. 🙂 He gives us a call the night before and then again when he’s on his way. Which I appreciate because we have dogs. So gives us a chance to get them up. We very much appreciate all his help so far.
We have bug out and they are an excellent company to do business with. Chad is our bug guy and he is an extremely nice man, works diligently and is very professional. We’ve had bug out for about 15 years and we’re not about to go anywhere else. Thanks Chad and the whole bug out team. No bugs in our house !!
Reggie has been our Bug Out Technician since we opened this office several years ago, and he’s been fantastic. He’s both professional and personable, making him feel like an extension of our team, even if we only see him once a quarter! He always checks in to ensure we haven’t had any issues since his last visit. We are very pleased with Reggie and the Bug Out service he provides.
The on-site tech was extremely helpful. He answered all my questions and told me what to expect. Oh yeah, THEY DON’T TREAT FOR CRAB GRASS.
Not to detract from the on-site tech, the company’s customer service is limited.
I wanted information regarding the chemicals used, if the treatment would need to be watered in and could they narrow the techs 5-Hour time frame. No joy.
