We had a great experience with Steve and his crew. They did a great job with our total roof replacement and the price was competitive. It took a little longer because of weather, but Steve communicated with us every step of the way. This was the first roof we did as homeowners, and Steve explained and helped us with every step. We’re so grateful! Steve also coordinated the removal and re-install of our solar pool heater too, which was very convenient. For reference our shingles are Atlas Pinnacle Pristine in the color Pristine Oyster.
It was a pleasure having our house re-roofed with Steve and his crew. My wife and I are very impressed with how well everything was installed, as the shingles, vents, and drip edges all look great! We are also glad to have a peel-and-stick underlayment, as well as a good amount of roof sealant around the vents and the new flashing, in order to better prevent water intrusion, especially for any hurricanes. The crew also left our house clean by using tarps, a blower, and magnet sweepers to collect all of the construction debris. We recommend Johnson Roofing of Orlando.
Steven and his team were amazing. From the first call, I knew I was in good hands. He talked me through the entire process and provided very helpful suggestions.
My roof was replaced by Johnson Roofing Orlando just over five years ago. At the time it seemed like a decent price, good craftsmanship etc. But recently I had some issues with the roof and have been trying to contact them to have them resolved. specifically two leaks were pointed out to me by another contractor performing electrical work in my attic. So obviously I should contact the roofer that installed the roof. I have left three voicemails, reached out by email and contact form on their website with no response. I ended up having another roofing company quote me on the repairs needed and it totaled $4800. Essentially the issue is Johnson failed to install flashing where the roof butts up to a wall, and then there is a large area where the 30 year shingles I purchased are already trash and no longer hold back moisture. I would not pick this company for your needs because they will not be there to back up their work.
Update: Johnson Roofing has responded to this review, not sure where the disconnect is but I have responded to them via the email they provided. I had tried to call them earlier today, but again was received by a virtual assistant informing me to leave a voicemail. I do appreciate the response and hope to have this remedied.
Update: Spoke to Steve at Johnson roofing, he ended up coming to my home and looking over my concerns. We talked about potential repairs and he scheduled to come back out. Today he repaired the issues. Always personable and prompt. The issue from the beginning was just a misunderstanding. Johnson roofing is a great choice for your roof.
I am very satisfied with Johnson Roofing Orlando. They repaired the wood roof decking, upgraded ridge vents, and installed new shingles. The materials and workmanship were top quality and Steve Johnson was very pleasant, straightforward, and honest. He explained everything thoroughly and was available to answer questions/concerns by phone or text. The price was reasonable as well.
They were able to finish in one day but came back briefly the next morning to clean up completely. All trash was picked up and hauled away. All in all, a pleasant experience as roofing goes! I will highly recommend Johnson Roofing to friends and family. Thanks, Steve!
