No integrity, sloppy work, Brandon didn’t even finish the A.C. install, leaving the entire system disabled and us having to live in 100 degree temps until we called in a professional who quickly saw the A.C. wasn’t wired at either end. Costing us another $546, to complete the job Lighten Up was hired to do. When we filed a complaint, they lied and made up B.S. thinking they were covering their you know what’s.
scott and Brandon are liars, bullies and have absolutely no care of doing a GOOD JOB.
Another issue with Lighten Up is they left us with a safety hazard and put us through way to much stress trying to come to a resolve, which is we have to arrange for this to be fixed since they have NO CONCERN that my wife can not step out to the back yard without feeling in danger of tripping and falling, please see pictures of their plumbing going right in front of our doorway.
Also, I wonder how much of a discount they give their customers if they would write a good review, or are they simple jobs anyone can do.
The BBB is receiving a complete report of the entire unfortunate dealings with Lighten Up. I have noticed that most positive reviews (paid for in some way), do not mention having to work with scott, he is the main one who created problems with us, if they say Scott will be out, tell them NO SEND SOME ONE ELSE. 😛
Lighten Up Plumbing and Heating installed a new furnace today. The two young men that installed my new furnace were well trained, had a great attitude, communicated well and made their visit a very nice experience. I have had Lighten Up out to the house for several visits doing both plumbing and Heating services. This is my third experience with them and all were very satisfactory. Good Company, good employees and professional services! I highly recommend this company!!
We have been clients of this company for years. A subscription service gets us maintenance and free service calls. Recently, they installed a new, more efficient furnace for us, and I was impressed with how they didn’t try to upset me or confuse me about what I was paying for. We’d installed a new smart thermostat that was supposed to be very good, but after returning it twice and having three units that caused our A/C and furnace to run simultaneously (which is part of why we needed to replace our furnace), we finally called Lighten Up to verify that the problem was the thermostats. They came, spent an hour installing and reinstalling thermostats, confirmed that the problem was in the popular and supposedly high quality (Google) thermostat, and didn’t even charge me anything for it. I love these guys. Brandon, Kevin, and Jon are all super friendly, and they know what they’re doing. This year on my annual a/c checkup, Keith and Eric were super friendly and efficient. When they pointed out that the condenser could use a cleaning and I indicated I’d like to get that done, they just asked, “Do you want us to do it right now?” And they did it. I didn’t have to deal with making calls and scheduling a different appointment. I love it when things can just get done.
I would like to give a shout out to Wes King, the technician who came to my house to fix my AC. He was very professional. I received a phone call 30 minutes prior to his arrival, and he arrived on time. He wore booties over his shoes and a face mask in my house. He was able to help me understand the appropriate filter to use, and even left me with a clean one to take to Home Depot to purchase more replacements. He was able to figure out the issue with my AC and had it running again within the hour. I appreciate all of his help. He did a wonderful job! I highly recommend Lighten Up and Wes King!
It was a pleasure working with Lighten Up Electric & Plumbing. The whole staff was courtesy and professional. When their electrician was running late, the lady at the office called to let me know he may not make my appointment that day and to reschedule. When I reschedule the next day, they waived the service call charge due to the cancellation of my first appointment and put me on their priority list. That was nice of them. The electrician Terry was really nice, knowledgeable and professional. He even put on booties to protect my carpet unlike some contractors. Overall, what I liked about Lighten Up Electric is that they give you upfront price quotes per job and not by the hour! What a difference and no surprises! He explained and showed me what had happened to the outlets that were bad and tested others whether it was really necessary to change or not. Terry stay a couple of hours and made sure each job was done right. Fast, professional and got a lot done in a matter of hours! I give him five stars!
