Have used them for years for routine maintenance and plumbing emergencies. Always had a great experience with them. I want to shout out Nick, the service tech who has been out to my house only twice. Both times, he saved my family hundreds of dollars in services each time by correctly identifying the real issue. It’s been these experiences that show how valued I am as a customer, and will keep me coming back to Quality Plumbing every time.
Called them for a slab leak. It seems like the plumber they sent didn’t know how to use a leak detector very well, so he said he had to cut into the floor near the leak to look around. In the process of tearing up the wall and floor he did find the leak, but managed to break a completely separate water line that wasn’t leaking at all and had nothing wrong with the original leak, then his ‘repair’ of that new leak involved attaching a kitchen faucet line to the pipe and telling me I needed a ‘total replumb of the house.’ This ‘repair’ of the line he broke started leaking within 30 minutes so the leaking was worse than before he came.
I called their office to complain and they sent out a supervisor to inspect the work. The supervisor John Boswell seemed to agree that the work performed wasn’t up to standards and said if we didn’t want to do a full replumb for tens of thousands of dollars they could try to finish the repair and he’d send me a quote. He sent a quote that would have had me spending over $2000 with them.
At this point I called another plumber in town for a 2nd opinion. The other plumber came out, scratched their head at the mess that was made, chuckled a bit and proceeded to fix the plumbing issue properly (with copper pipe) for about 2.5 hours of their time which was a couple hundred dollars. It would have been cheaper if they didn’t have to undo the damage quality did in the first place.
I wrote back to explaining that their quote was much higher than the cost to actually fix it. Since most of what had to be fixed was due to the damage they did, I requested a refund since they didn’t do the job and in fact did damage.
I never got a response.
A year later we haven’t had any issues with the repair or any other leaks. I am still mad, feel scammed, and want to warn others about this company. Thinking back I should have complained to my credit card company or taken them to court over such terrible practices.
I don’t know who is giving these 5 star reviews, but as a real person living in this area I wouldn’t trust them anywhere near my house again.
Jared from Quality Plumbing arrived promptly to give me an estimate on replacing the shower valve stems and knobs. Upon arrival, I asked him for the cost and he told me he didn’t know and wouldn’t know that until after he was done. But then, when was done, he said “well the rebuild kit is $225.00,” ii said ok, how much for the labor? He said “$165.00 per hour. I was infuriated to find that he knew the LABOR when I asked him, but he didn’t tell me that when asked. When I brought that to his attention, he said, “oh I thought they told you that when you got the appointment. I told him, if I knew that I would NOT have asked him. AND, in all honesty, no one told me that prior to his arrival. I guess that’s one of the TRICKS OF THE TRADE, but it’s bad business and I felt DECEIVED.
I had new plumbing installed throughout my entire house. Before it was repaired, I had hardly any water pressure in my shower. I had three plumbers from Quality Plumbing come in – Brandon, Morgan and James. They were wonderful!! So professional and kind. They cleaned up after themselves like it was their own home, which I was so grateful for. The water pressure is now amazing in the entire house and especially the shower. I would highly recommend them! Thank you guys, again!
