Sacramento rug works do an excellent job of cleaning rugs. I left them a very large rug and it came back beautiful. They also do it quickly. I highly recommend this company.
I had little hope for my two Tibetan rugs. They were stored for more than twenty years with nasty animal stains on them, and one needed a repair. I almost cried when I saw the results. Beautifully cleaned and lovingly repaired. I’m just thrilled and very grateful. The price was less than half what I expected. I highly recommend this establishment.
I highly recommend this business. They came out the same day I called and took on a very difficult task w my carpets and thoroughly cleaned, treated w enzymes, and put 3 hrs into this job. They were prompt, professional, nice, and certainly knowledgeable about the business and my rugs look terrific. The owner Kevin and partner were great.
Took our rug in for cleaning and removal of the fringe. After we got home, we realized the rug was still covered in straw / hair / dirt, and still felt as grimy as it did before we brought it in. We did a quick little smack and saw tons of debris flying from the rug (first picture was just from smacking). Then we decided to vacuum the rug and got nearly half a gallon of dust off of it (second picture). That is when we were certain that the rug was not cleaned.
I gave them the benefit of the doubt at first, assuming it was just an accident. The fringe was removed well, so I called to just ask for a refund on the cleaning, but the guy on the phone sounded angry that I even asked and insisted that I bring the rug back or get nothing, even though I said I lived far away. Very disappointing to say the least.
PS: The rug is 43″ x 75″ and still made that much dirt! This is even after we have vacuumed it in the past.
Do yourself a favor and make the drive to a reputable rug repair shop in the Bay Area. I did not find these guys to be trustworthy or honest.
Backstory: I took three rugs, all family heirlooms, to Sacramento Rug Works for repairs. Their representative and I discussed how each of the rugs would have a different color of surging to match the unique color/pattern of the rugs: one red, one cream, one black.
When I took the rugs home a month later, I was shocked to see they used the exact same color of burgundy surging on all three, completely disregarding what we had agreed on. I called the store to voice my concerns. The guy on the phone immediately started yelling and accusing me of lying about what I ordered. (Google/Yelp reviews suggest I’m not the first person to face such an angry tirade from the staff here).
The store also refused to provide me with a copy of my invoice. The owner sarcastically offered to refund my money, but only if I agreed to let them rip out all of the stitching first (which would have left the rugs in far worse condition than I started).
These guys are a shady and unpleasant bunch. Again, do yourself a favor and make the drive to another shop.
