SB Pro, specifically Michael and his team, were responsive and communicative. Once the permit was finally issued the team jumped on the install. Roof looks great… we’ve received many compliments from neighbors. Now just hoping our super-duper hurricane impact roof does what it’s supposed to when the time comes!

Professional and hard working people. Bill was great and was willing to work with us to provide us with a great roof. The workers and manager were great and know what they were doing. We highly recommend this company for anyone who is looking to get a new roof. Thank you so much!

This is a professional American roofing company with quality people and quality workmanship. They were fast, pleasant to work with and provided me with a very competitive price. Bill Baker, their salesman, was very knowledgeable and always picked up the phone to answer any questions I had. Their job foreman, installation manager and operations manager were also very accommodating. I would use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

I had to put one star to write a review ! But it would be negative 10!!!!This company really set us back months on our move. Long story short we had a roof put on in August and while that was happening we got a pretty big rains storm, which led to leaking(pouring) in our house in 3 different rooms . From them not be being prepared and tarping our roof correctly . We had significant water damage the contractors came in took photos and brought buckets in and used our towels to half dry it up but the damage was already done. That was a Friday we didn’t receive or get a call back till Monday as they were requesting payment. Apparently the owner John had no idea and he did send a mold and water restoration company over to dry us out and said they would fix any of there damages to the house . It took two days to dry out . We as homeowners and soon to be selling wanted to make sure it was done right and safely so we tried to protect ourselves and had third party company come out and do an estimate which came out to 12 thousand dollars in damages between the three rooms. The owner John said he would fix it with his contractor Mike and replace the lost items which he did cover $1,275 for a lost mattress and microwave. John than told us we signed a contract that dismisses any fault to household damages but that he would again fix what was damaged in his terms . It took months to have them come by and we reluctantly gave them half of the payment for the roof because we know that they outsource contractors to do the roof, and even though they neglectfully did not Tarp the house correctly we wanted to show that we had the $12,000 the roof cost so we gave them $6000 and said we would give them the other half when all the damages were Fixed. After both hurricanes, mike SB contractor finally came over and did a walk thru going in to detail what was going to be fixed and painted and put back to how it was before the water damage. We felt ok with it and agreed to pay the other half we post dated the check for a couple of days Because Mike said that it would take 4 to 5 days to get everything back in order. he patches of the holes, but he never repaired all the drywall like he said. There was a wall it was supposed to be ripped out And everything was supposed to be painted and the trim be put back up which never happened. Mike than told us that he found matching panel and was Ordering it and we would be coming back to replace the panel. Once check cleared I couldn’t get into contact with them via text message and when I did, he said he was still waiting on the order He never came back . when my husband finally reached out to Jon. John said that they did their Job And it was done. This is three months later and our house is still a disaster. We got our roof put on in August because my husband got a job in Michigan. We were to be moved out by October. My husband had to leave and my son and I are still here in all this damage and now have to come more out of pocket to fix what was not done so we can list the house . It has been a nightmare and we truly tried our hardest to work with them. Mike the contractor said he would take care of this house as if it was like his and do it the right way and that the owner John was nice man but they couldn’t have been more wrong . This company has no moral compass and has my family and our house torn apart. It won’t let me upload videos , but I have tons and a lot on the ring camera . What I posted it was they considered done and never touched the back wall! That is supposed to be worth 3-5 days of work !!!!

Using my wife’s google account as I don’t have one.
Working with SB Pro Roofing has been great even if the whole process wasn’t what we expected. We had to replace a perfectly good roof that has made it through the last 4 hurricanes with not a single shingle lost or damaged. So, to say we are angry about replacing our perfectly good roof what be an understatement, but insurance required it and even though we tried shopping other insurance locations no one would even talk to us until it was replaced. Sadly, our story is not unique and we have heard similar stories here in FL.
We did qualify for the My Safe Florida Home program which is going to help defray some of the costs, but it still stings to have to replace a roof that was just fine. Even worse, we had to remove all the installed solar before the project could even be started, and eventually I am going to get back on the roof and reinstall that too.
We started the process a bit backwards. To complete all the My Safe FL home stuff, first you have to fill out a bunch of paperwork, then you have to qualify, then have them do an inspect, then we pick a contractor, do the roof and then get a follow up inspection. Sadly, we didn’t understand the whole process, but SB Pro Roofing was not only helpful, but they were also patient with us during the whole process. What we did out of order is we got quotes from several roofers, spent time picking someone to work with and then awarded the work to SB Pro Roofing. Waiting on the My Safe Fl home process extended the whole project by almost a year. Money for the program ran out, our filing was delayed, and during that time inflation did what it did and caused some of the costs to go up. SB Roofing was completely transparent along the way and informed us when they would have a price bump to cover the additional costs. At the end of the day the costs were not that different at all.
Eventually, we got the pre-inspection and waited on the qualifying processes to take place.
Once approved SB Pro Roofing scheduled the work, and it was off to the races. That process worked like most other roofing projects that I have witnessed as we have had other roofs on our previous home, tear off, repairs of which there were a few, and during the entire process anything that could be made better was suggested and we accepted all of those changes. Upgraded skylights and new flashing was added to our second story as the old stuff had deteriorated, some decking needed replacement but at the end of the day our roof project went smoothly. Near the electrical drop, the boot had failed and not only did they repair that wood, but they also redid much of the truss bracing there to provide a better anchor point for the stack. The guys on the roof were great about cleaning up their mess. They were amazing to watch as you could tell they all knew their jobs and what was crazy is how quite they were. I mean to say there was constant banging and noise from the work, but they hardly talked at all. No one yelling or barking orders, it was as though everyone knew what to do at every moment. They just worked non-stop. In Sarasota, an inspection is required before they complete all the work and that stopped the job for a full day, but once it was complete the rest of the roof went up in what seemed like a few hours. Clean up took them a bit after it was all complete, but they did a great job and as the final dumpster pulled away, we are very happy with the work.
The last part of our roofing saga here is that we are going to get the final My Safe FL home inspection Overall, the process took longer than we expected but it had nothing to do with SB Pro Roofing and more to do with My Safe FL home process, which was easy, just took time. I suggest starting early if you want to try to qualify.
