I originally suffered roof damage as a result of a tornado. St. Lucie Roofing (SLR) repaired the damaged area in a swift and efficient manner. (On a side note complete and unwarranted denial from my insurance company of course!!). I was concerned for me and my family as the roof may be compromised elsewhere by the storm and opted for a complete replacement. Jeff from SLR provided me a fair and reasonable quote compared to other companies, so they were engaged. That was the best decision I have made in a long time. SLR did an amazing job. From the office staff to the crew on the roof. I couldn’t be happier. They came when promised and completed the job in a timely manner. The crew cleaned up my property daily which I appreciated as well. The material was the best on the market and I was relieved my roof was brought up to current building code. While nobody wants to replace a roof, when you do, you want it done right without excuses or headaches and a fair price. I have no reservation whatsoever and highly recommend St Lucie Roofing for all your needs repairs and/or replacement as I have done both! Keep up the great work SLR! davew
In March 2023, I hired St. Lucie Roofing to re-roof my home with 5V metal roofing. On April 16, 2023, there was a heavy rainstorm, during which our formal dining room and back porch ceilings were leaking. St. Lucie Roofing came out to inspect and they found that their workers had forgotten to lay down blue tar paper in those areas. They accepted that they were negligent and repaired the damage to the ceiling and repainted. They refused to pay for the floor replacement as they said they couldn’t prove the water damage was their cause but I had told them that no other water damage had occurred. For expediency, I let it go because half of my roof was still not done. April 24, 2023, and Dec 16, 2023, the roofers were called about leaks from the ceiling of my son’s room. In the former, they cleared the drains as they thought that might be the cause and in the latter, they re-torched the flat roof. This October, my son’s ceiling began leaking again. They ran water through the top of the drain to the bottom and said I needed to replace my drains because they weren’t big enough. I had my general contractor run water through the drains just like they had previously done and they told me that the drains were fine. He took a video and I sent that to the roofers. The roofers then came over 2 days ago and flooded the balcony by covering the bottom of the drain. It flooded my son’s room ruining his bed, and wood furniture, and it also hit his 3d printer. Juan, the foreman for St. Lucie Roofing, explained it would flood son’s room if the bottom of the drain was clogged because the top of it wasn’t sealed. This is why Juan’s recommendation was to seal the drain with a drain cover. He explained this to my general contractor who then said that they should have advised you to have those drain covers and to use different material for the balcony as it pools. This is not good since it should have a wood deck on top. They should have pitched the area in the balcony to the drains and installed drain covers. They also should’ve flooded the balcony from the top to see if any leaks were coming from the actual roof; however, they wanted to show that it was the drain that was leaking which would be obvious because, to their admission, it was not sealed. We had a leak detection done that revealed a high level of moisture in 2 of the bathroom walls. During the demo, they found a fascia board that had come in through the exterior wall destroying one of the studs. Upon inspection of the flashing along the SE corner which is the area outside of the bathroom, the flashing is missing the seal at the end of the flashing where the old flashing was removed. The damaged area wasn’t sealed correctly leaving holes in an exterior wall that makes it susceptible to water intrusion along with pests. The fascia board replacement was protruding beyond acceptable length. It was forced beyond the exterior wall causing damage to the frame specifically the studs. This led to moisture intrusion and mold. We had St. Lucie Roofing examine our findings and they tried to pass the blame to us. They stated that our wall was already compromised and therefore, they weren’t at fault. I replied that it became their financial responsibility when their company hid the damage from us, the homeowners. They then instructed their roofers, Blue Water Finishing, and my general contractor to start the repair. When given the bill for the repair, they stated they would not pay the full amount. After stating that they were breaking their workmanship warranty, they still refused to pay the full amount. I have filed my complaint with the Better Business Bureau and St. Lucie County Contractor Licensing department against their licensure. This company does not uphold their warranty and bullies their clients into accepting their unfair terms.I originally signed with this company because they stated that no matter what happens during this process if I’m unhappy or there’s any damage they would make things right. It was naive of me to think he was telling the truth.
St Lucie Roofing are stellar! From small repairs to an entire re-roof, they’re fast, efficient, patient, on time AND they communicate. Connie is amazing as are the entire office staff.
The guys cleaned up after themselves and showed up as scheduled.
Their price was $20K less than the pother lowest quote we got and they did and absolutely amazing job of our now beautiful new roof. I highly recommend them to anyone needing any kind of roofing done.
This company was an absolute pleasure to work with! Very kind, knowledgeable, responsive and a hard working crew! We’re working on making our new little home our tropical paradise after purchasing it this past December. It needed a new roof so we went with metal. Jeff came out within 24 hours of my call, gave an estimate that day which came in under others. I thought I’d have a 5 or 6 week wait but they put me on the short list if someone canceled and I got lucky! Everything worked out on time from there as promised. The crew was so nice and it only took a few short days to get it done. They went above and beyond to schedule a new front gutter install for us too, which isn’t normally part of their job. Thank you, we feel so much better having this new roof and now we can paint our home and landscape earlier than we hoped as well. I HIGHLY recommend Port St. Lucie Roofing!
When our house was damaged by a tornado, we did our research and ultimately went with St Lucie Roofing because almost everyone we know, who had roofing work done before, recommended them. It did take a little back and forth to finally get a date that worked for both us and the company, but even with the back and forth, everyone was always very pleasant and most importantly, the quality of the work done, is what we had hoped for. We will definitely use them in the future, should the need arise.
