Western Roofing Systems – Solar & Roofing Experts

Our home’s roof was last “fixed” (meaning a new layer of composite shingles added) back in 1994. After 31 years (and those shingles only having a 25-year warranty), it was time to do a full re-roof. Given I’m slightly neurotic, I obtained 5 bids with Western Roofing Systems being the only one who offered a metal option. While the cost of going with the stone-coated steel option we choose (charcoal “Pacific Tile” from Unified Steel) was a few thousand dollars more than the standard composite option, the design, the 50-year warranty, and just plain awesomeness made it worthwhile.

We happened to connect with Patrick from Western Roofing Systems while he was visiting one of his jobs near our home. He makes it a point to visit his jobs frequently to ensure things are progressing and to answer any questions the customer might have. He did so several times during our Monday-Friday job (as well as connected with me via email and text). We started talking and he showed us what option that neighbor had chosen (as well as what other options were available through their company). The product generally sells itself; and Patrick was not “salesy” at all. He didn’t have to be. Overall, Patrick was highly personable, communicative, and dedicated to ensuring our specific needs were met. He went out of his way to find homes in the Orange County area that had what we wanted (even installations that weren’t done by Western Roofing- some of which still looked great after 40 years!). We never felt alone in this process.

While we had a larger crew doing the Monday tear-off, we had a smaller crew (generally 2 people) doing the installation. Juan and his crewmember (Sergio?) were simply fantastic. As you can see in the images- while our home is small, it wasn’t a simple job. The crew had to make custom cuts to handle our special roof pitch, take extra precautions with our AC unit, deal with our gutters (and wire mesh covering), and implement a “valley” our roof had between house and garage. They were very nice to me as I routinely took pictures (like a new dad).

We know replacing a roof is a daunting task (emotionally and financially); but our experience with Western Roofing Systems was just easy. We highly recommend them. Several of my neighbors have commented just how cool the new roof looks and how fast it was done. One neighbor has had multiple talks with Patrick about using them for their much-needed roof replacement.

Steve was a pleasure to work with and was very knowledgable about what kinds of roofing systems would work best for my aging property. If you want an easy to work with roofing company, look no further. They laid out all my options and took about a week to complete the roof on a 1-story single family home. High quality work and the techs cleaned up after themselves every day after they were done.

We decided to use Western Roofing because my wife had them replace her roof prior to meeting me and she had a great experience with the company. We called and scheduled a meeting with Kory. It was a great consultation so we decided to completely replace our old Asphalt shingle roof with the lightweight Boral Stone Coated steel roof and replace the wood facia Boards as well. They started the job earlier than they originally estimated. The job was completed on time and on budget. The project manager Andy was on site most days and although I am super particular and a perfectionist, Andy handled all my requests and did not charge us any more money for the many extras he completed. The Job is 100% perfect and the new roof looks amazing. My wife & I are thrilled with the completed job. The professionalism and quality of work by Western roofing was by my standards perfect we could not be happier. Thank you so much to Andy and Kory. We will recommend them to all our friends & work associates. Andy is a great asset to this company and and deserves a lot of the credit for making us very very happy with the completed job.
