The water company in my city did smoke testing to determine if there were drainage water going into the sewer. My house was selected, as if this smoke testing was 100% accurate. I was sent a letter to resolve the issue or further action will be taken. I let Machen Plumbing know my issue and they identified the problem. They had to dig my main line because the previous plumber who installed my clean out did a half-assed job.
I was greeted by Aaron and Korey who were very knowledgeable when it comes to digging and replacing pipes. Once they dug to the main line, Aaron explained to me why the smoke test failed at my house. I watched Aaron and Korey dig, cut, replace and install a new clean out drain and guaranteed no leaks. Anytime digging is involved, labor can get expensive. I was charged a really good price for a quick but very diligent job.
I would highly recommend Machen Plumbing for their unbeatable prices and amazing work.
I’ just bought an house and needed work done so I could have a new washer installed. I called Machen late yesterday afternoon and they got Brian out to do my repair 1st thing this morning. Brian was very knowledgeable and polite. The service was fast and the pricing was very fair. I will definitely be calling them for any of my plumbing needs in the future.
Brian came out and did a great job. Was very knowledgeable. Replacing an old worn out faucet and shut off valves that were all leaking. Made sure he explained everything he did. Will definitely use Machen again.
After purchasing our house in June, we have already had two experiences with Machen Plumbing. The first was for a major clog and the other was for a new water heater. Neither case was a simple straightforward situation, especially the clog. Both times, Machen made sure to go above and beyond if needed to make sure things were done right and to explain the process along the way. They answered any questions that I had and in the first case worked closely with the septic service to get the job done. They did what they could to keep prices down on the projects and cleaned up after themselves. I had interactions with several of the employees over the course of these two projects and each one was helpful and respectful. I hope it’s a while before I have to call again but if I have an issue, they are who I’m calling.
Casey did a wonderful job. Fixed a leak in my crawlspace and also provided valuable information about the plumbing in my home that saved me from future water damage. Machen was very reasonably priced as well. Overall a great experience. A+
