I would strongly advise against using this company. RIDD Pest Control caused visible damage to my home, and for nearly two months now, they have done absolutely nothing to address it. Instead of taking responsibility, they have given me nothing but the runaround.
One of their employees initially called me and said he would come out to pressure wash the damage to see if it would come off. Then, the day before he was supposed to provide his services, he called to tell me that I now needed to get an estimate, provide it to them, and if they agreed, they would reimburse me. This is completely unacceptable.
I have spoken with multiple employees, including Kira (or Keira), and have been repeatedly told that a manager would be calling me back. Of course, that has yet to happen. No accountability, no follow-through—just excuses and delays.
To make matters worse, RIDD Pest Control sold their services to Aptive without providing any notice to their clients. This transition has been handled terribly, and it’s clear neither company cares about customer service or resolving issues they have caused.
At this point, it has been nearly two months since RIDD/Aptive damaged my home, and they have done absolutely nothing to fix it. Their lack of professionalism and accountability is appalling. I will continue to warn others about my experience until they take action.
Great service since day one. Our most recent technician was Robert and he was phenomenal. He was very courteous and asked plenty of questions regarding service with a view to improving service where he can. I highly recommend this company for pest control services.
I had a significant mole problem in my yard. I added pest removal to my existing RIDD service. The first treatment didn’t work but Mo the technician told me someone would be back in 2 weeks to follow up. They didn’t come. I called for second appointment and was kept waiting from 8-5 (technician kept changing my time). Then when I called for the second time that day I was told the technician couldn’t make it and I would need to wait another week before someone else could come out. That was “ the best they could do” well if that’s their best it sucks. Very poor customer service. Don’t waste your time waiting like I did.
This company is a scam. they lock you in a contract then after a couple of months they just stop giving you service. This isn’t the first time I had problems with them. this month alone I have call them four times for missing service. So far they have rescheduled 3 time for it to be the completely wrong day and time they told me. One of the time THE COMPANY rescheduled it for a SUNDAY A DAY THEY ARE NOT OPEN. Then when asking questions they would not answer my questions they gave me some kind of vague answer that doesn’t even relate to the question. Honestly speaking I don’t think there stuff works because I just bought a brand new house without any bug problems and the every next day after there service mind you we were living the house for a little while already we ended up having a bug problem. The only reason I keep this company is because it’s either pay more to get out or pay less for them to service. FIND SOMEONE ELSE!!
Add me to the list of 1- and 2-star reviews for this company. In July 2024, a young man (Ben, not sure if he is still employed by RIDD) came to my door and explained the RIDD service plan. I told him I do my own pest service and have been told by another pest company that I do a good job. Ben tried to get me to sign up for a 12-month plan. I had no intention of signing up for a year’s service without knowing anything about the company or its product. I told him I would try 6 months, and he agreed.
Luckily, the contract signing is done by an AI video and is recorded. Before the recording started, Ben stated “The AI is going to state everything in 12 months, but your cancellation will be 6 months”. I was fortunate that during the recording where you have to respond “yes” to your contract agreement terms, you can hear Ben say, “That’s the AI we were talking about.” I contacted Headquarters in Utah and after several calls back and forth and receiving the requested video file, one of the Customer Support personnel (Nate) agreed that Ben was in the wrong. Although they do not offer 12-month contracts, Nate talked with his management and agreed to give me a 6-month offer. I said I expect quality results if I plan to renew after 6 months. BE SURE TO READ THE ACTUAL CONTRACT AS SOON AS YOU GET IT! I was within the three-day grace period to cancel. It also states the early cancellation fee of $249 which Ben never mentioned to me. ALSO, THE CONTRACT STATES, ” Upon completion of this agreement treatments will continue at the same frequency until canceled by the customer.” I missed this part in the contract, as I expected RIDD to contact me for renewal. Once I saw the billed amount to my credit card, I called the Utah office again and I was fortunate that they reversed the charge and canceled my account after my initial 6-month term.
If you noticed, I contacted the Headquarters office as the local office never contacted me directly even when I had issues during my service. Some of my issues: I received a text notice on Sunday that they would be at my house on Monday. I was out of town and wanted to be there to discuss some issues with the technician. Obviously, the office is closed on Sunday so I could not reach anyone to change the date. I called the next morning to move my appointment. Another time, the technician was due to arrive on a specific date. No one showed up and no update from the local office or by text was provided. I went out to do an errand after 5pm and when I came back home, I find the technician and his vehicle parked out front at 6:30pm ready to do my service! You never know when they will show up unless YOU CONTACT the office directly and request a specific window (8-12 or 1-5). Everything is done by text and local company support is almost nonexistent. The value of this service is not compatible to the price paid.
The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is due to the Headquarters office support and the actual technicians that come out to do the service, which I found them to all be very good. However, not sure RIDD pays them a sufficient amount as at the end of each service, they ask for feedback and asks if you would like to leave a tip. What is it with these companies asking us to tip their technicians?!! Another reason I cannot recommend this company.
